You're Allowed to Have Friend Standards

When it comes to finding a significant other, we are always talking about our "standards," right?

Some may argue that the reason they are still single is that their standards are too high. We might look at some of our friend's relationships and think that their standards are way too low. Whether you think your standards for a significant other are too high or too low, the fact that you have standards is inherently a good thing.

You deserve to be with someone that treats you well. That goes out of their way to make you feel special. Someone that truly cares about your well-being and just wants to make you feel loved.

So why do so many of us throw out our standards when it comes to friendships?? Like come on guys, your friends should make you feel valued and loved too! They should celebrate your successes with you and be there to walk with you in the hard times.

Who are those people in your life that you need to let go of? The ones that you have always sacrificed for and loved well and haven't received that in return. It is OKAY to move on. You don't need to make it some dramatic event either. Simply prioritize those who prioritize you.

Take a good look at your friendships. Who is always there? Who brings positivity into your life? Who strives to help you grow? Cling to those people and let go of the rest.
